Lakeland Aerial Rigging Services began trading as a partnership in 1989. The business grew over subsequent years and was registered as Lars Communications Ltd in 1995.

Over the past 21 years, Lars Communications has firmly established itself one of Britain’s most capable radio site installation and site decommissioning companies. Based in the north-west of England, we operate nationally and internationally. We have evolved to offer a complete service for all communication network operators including the MOD, Airports, Network Rail and the Emergency Services. We pride ourselves on both the quality of our workmanship and the rigorous attention that we pay to safety standards. We own a large portfolio of specialist plant and equipment for accessing equipment in remote locations and at height.
Our systems and procedures are accredited to ISO 9001/2000, and we comply with ISO14001 and ISO18001 to ensure our customers receive the highest standards of service and quality.

The Lars group provide a full portfolio of technical services including project management, consultancy, line of sight surveys, equipment procurement, installations and fault finding.

Our installation service is supported by comprehensive in-house computer aided design and fabrication facilities. We are able to design and manufacture a full range of products, from unique brackets and aerial support structures to complete bespoke communication towers.

Lars work closely with sister company XI Training - the country's leading height safety, fall prevention, fall protection and first aid training provider.
