Lars Communications takes their responsibilities to the environment very seriously. All team leaders have environmental awareness training specific to their roles with the company.

An environmental assessment is undertaken at the concept stage for each contract. Any environmental issues are noted and form part of the environmental plan for that contract.

Environmental assessments take the following into account:

• Proximity of watercourses to area of activity and any special control measures required preventing contamination
• Local environment – i.e. built up environment or rural location
• Site of scientific interest
• Noise implications of activities
• Access to site including utility installation
• Waste management
• Site security
• Requirement for a full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
