Optical surveys using high magnification telescopes and narrow beam point light sources provide unambiguous photographic evidence of valid paths.

For tests in excess of 10km, or in times of poor visibility, optical tests can prove inconclusive. Accordingly Lars utilise a portable SHF microwave radio system for path validation. High gain antennae provide a theoretical range in excess of 25km.

All Lars surveys are supported by a written report detailing the survey results and other site specific information.
