LARS awarded contract for communications site build in Fife

LARS Communications Limited is delighted to have been awarded the contract for the design and build of a replacement communications site for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency at Crail in Fife, Scotland.
The scope of works includes; the design, delivery to site and erection of a 30 metre triangular lattice steel tower, construction of concrete foundations for the tower and equipment cabin and the procurement, installation and population of the equipment cabin.
Requirements also include the provision of a car parking area, connecting utilities, tower antenna and rigging works and the decommissioning and demolition works associated with the removal of the existing tower.
The programme of work started in July with completion due in the Autumn. When complete the installation will provide continued, critical service and protection for shipping in the North Sea.
