12 June 2017
LARS Communications has been awarded a continuation of accreditation from Safecontractor for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety. Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.
Employing 30 people, LARS is principally involved in the telecommunications sector, specialising in providing bespoke radio infrastructure solutions including fabrication and construction services. The company’s application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business.
Business Development Manager Julian Cooper said, “LARS is focused on Health and Safety compliance to ensure that all of our engineers work in a safe environment. The SafeContractor accreditation is an industry standard bench mark that emphasises to our customers our commitment to providing a safe and compliant delivery of service.”
SafeContractor accreditation enhances the company’s ability to attract new contracts by proving its commitment to safety. Major, nation-wide businesses, from key industry sectors, have signed up to use the scheme when selecting contractors for services such as building, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment or electrical and mechanical work.
