Fabrication of Structures
Antenna support towers – Floodlighting towers for railway yards, ports and sports complexes – CCTV camera towers – Training towers for the Emergency Services
Strengthening and Structural Upgrades
Conversion of electricity pylons into communication towers – Tower strengthening on existing structures – Anti-climb and fall arrest upgrades – Safe to climb inspections
Ancillary Steelwork
Access gantries and platforms – Ladders and staircases – Handrails – Stainless steel brackets – Angles and bespoke structural fixings
In-house Capabilities include:
Cutting, Punching and Drilling – Welding – Plasma Cutting – Galvanising – Transport and delivery – Pre-stressing structures prior to welding – Assembly on or off site
LARS has a fully equipped workshop with welding bays, punching, drilling and sawing equipment and a 2 ton gantry crane. We are also able to produce fabrication drawings using a Tekla Structures 3D structural steel detailing and information management system.
Installation
Teams of experienced personnel are trained, accredited and permitted to work on all construction sites. We are also registered with the FCS1331 Site Engineering Accredited Scheme and will provide all required Health & Safety documentation including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
On and Off-site Welding Services
LARS’ welding personnel are skilled and qualified in all areas of the welding process including manual metal arc, MIG and TIG.
Quality
CE Marking is a compulsory requirement for fabricated items and all UK steel manufacturers of steel have to comply. LARS is certified under the CE marking scheme and the mark is applied as a declaration to clients that the supplied product conforms to the technical specifications and that relevant manufacturing procedures have been complied with throughout the fabrication process.
All of our work also conforms to BS EN ISO 9001 quality standards.
