Re-certified as an ISO 27001:2013 Provider
20 May 2020
We are thrilled to announce that we have been re-certified as an ISO 27001:2013 provider, receiving third-party accreditation for our Information Security Management System (ISMS) from the International Standards Organisation (ISO).
ISO 27001 certification is one of the most widely recognised and internationally accepted information security standards. It is an extensive framework of requirements for “establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system”. Our compliance with this standard confirms that our security management system is comprehensive and follows leading practices.
In order to achieve it, we were required to satisfy the auditors from ACM Limited, an internationally focussed certification business which services thousands of clients in more than twenty countries around the world, that we ensure a systematic approach to managing sensitive company, client and individual information and related IT assets, while also ensuring that we demonstrate compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
This certification is a reflection of our commitment to the quality of our Information Security Management System at every level and clearly demonstrates to our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders that we continue to commit to the highest level of information security.
ISO 27001 helps us keep all of our information assets secure, such as financial information, intellectual property and employee details. By implementing a framework of policies and procedures, we will be able to minimise the risk of a security breach and so increase business confidence and resilience.
In conjunction with the ISO 27001 audit, our other accreditations which have been previously awarded were also reassessed and no non-conformities were recorded. These include:
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard which specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). ISO 9001 certification helps us to continually improve and streamline operations, reduce costs, demonstrate strong governance and work effectively with our stakeholders and our supply chain.
ISO 14001 sets out the criteria we require to follow an effective Environmental Management System, thereby providing assurances to all of our stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.
OHSAS 45001 is part of the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series. Compliance with OHSAS 45001 helps put in place the policies, procedures and controls we require to achieve the best possible working conditions and workplace health and safety.
These certifications represent the significant investment and commitment we have made towards demonstrating that we have the very best systems in place, so we’d like to say a huge thank you to everybody at LARS for their hard work in making this possible.
