2021 RISQS Audit
14 July 2021
Following the successful completion of our 2021 Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) Audit, we are delighted to announce that LARS Communications has once again been fully verified by the RISQS Association.
What is RISQS?
RISQS is the supplier pre-qualification service used by the 90-plus buyers of all products and services throughout the UK’s rail industry. The scheme helps to reduce supply chain risk and in doing so, it helps the rail industry achieve its efficiency, safety and sustainability objectives.
It is run by the industry, for the industry and is recognised as the most effective means of deriving assurance and managing supply chain risk. It gives the industry’s 90-plus buyer members, including the likes of Network Rail and Transport for London, the assurance to do business with confidence. Through RISQS, they are able to find the right suppliers, with the right capabilities, at the right time.
The 2021 RISQS Audit
The audit itself is built around the services the supplier offers and is split into four modules. These modules cover different risk elements imported by a supplier based on the risk that service, or location of the work poses.
As the single-entry point for suppliers to the rail industry, being verified by RISQS demonstrates that we have been able to meet the Network Rail Health, Safety, Operational and Competence standards, allowing us to continue to work on the Network Rail Infrastructure.
The audit is a critical requirement for a number of our clients working in the transport sector. Our five-star rating demonstrates that we conform to industry specific requirements, and in doing so provide assurances to the 90-plus buyers within the GB rail industry that we are a trusted rail partner.
Julian Cooper, Business Development Manager at LARS Communications, said; “This is a fantastic achievement. The RISQS Audit is a rigorous process, so to achieve this accreditation is testament to the hard work of the fantastic team we’ve got here at LARS Communications. A massive thank you goes to everyone who was involved.”
